July 20, 2016

HMSHost brings PGA Tour Grill to major golf destination Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport as part of a 10-year contract extension valued at $87 million to continue operating the airport’s food and beverage options through 2032. With this contract, HMSHost is bringing national and local favorites to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport including PGA Tour Grill and local microbrew, Service Brewing Co. The new restaurants are scheduled to begin opening later this year and into 2017.

“HMSHost is proud to deliver travelers the best dining choices in the industry and we are excited to continue our partnership with Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport to enhance the traveler experience with great food and drink options for many years to come,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Stephen Douglas. “Given the Savannah and Hilton Head areas are considered top golf destinations in North America it is fitting to bring the PGA Tour Grill to the thousands of visitors and locals flying in and out of the airport.”

“We are glad to have been able to expand our great relationship with HMSHost as part of a major upgrade package of our food and beverage concession. We are especially pleased that we were able to include Service Brewing Co. in the new program as it was a major objective of ours to have local participation. These new upgrades and options could not have come at a better time considering the growth in traffic we are experiencing. We believe that our existing customer base and our new customers will be pleased with the new options and those that will come on line in 2017,” said Greg B. Kelly, A.A.E. executive director of Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.

As a bold and innovative restaurant concept, PGA Tour Grill will be a new type of dining experience for Savannah and Hilton Head travelers. PGA Tour Grill was developed by HMSHost in partnership with the PGA Tour, combining the beloved sport of golf with great food, and celebrating the motto “Eat Smarter, Play Harder.” The atmosphere is inspired by the PGA Tour and highlights the rich history of golf. Golf fans traveling through the airport won’t miss any action while on the move because PGA Tour Grill features numerous flat-screen TVs with live tournament action, highlights from previous tournaments, and Golf Channel programming.

Service Brewing Taphouse is based on the local, veteran-owned and operated craft brewery, Service Brewing Co. Known for its great beer and charitable work in the Savannah community, Service Brewing Co. crafts authentic American-made beers for the curious and experienced consumer, focusing on high quality and local ingredients.

Among the other enhanced concession offerings coming to travelers, HMSHost will bring a bar kiosk that offers a convenient location between gates for travelers to grab their favorite beer and wine before their flight, as well as a new, expanded pre-security Starbucks store location. Other traveler favorites at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport will include Auntie Anne’s and the award-winning bagel bakery and deli concept, The Great American Bagel. HMSHost will also continue serving Burger King to travelers.
