WOW air,on July 18, announced it will begin service between its four U.S. destinations to Edinburg Airport (EDI) via Reykjavik on July 16. Tickets are now available for as low as $189

Flights to Edinburgh will depart from WOW air’s four current U.S. terminals – Boston (BOS), Baltimore/Washington D.C. (BWI), Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) via Reykjavik twice a week.

“We’re very pleased to announce Edinburgh as our third UK destination. With the success of our recent expansion to Bristol, and our original route to London, we look forward to bringing quality air service to Edinburgh,” said Skúli Mogensen, founder and CEO of WOW air. “With our low fares to Scotland this summer, American travelers will have even more options to visit Europe.”

Edinburgh becomes the airline’s 29th destination following the announcement of Californian and New York routes this summer. Launched in November 2011, WOW air’s annual passenger capacity will more than double in 2016 to over 1.9 million, up from approximately 840,000 in 2015.

“We’re pleased to welcome WOW air to Edinburgh Airport,” said Gordon Dewar, chief executive of Edinburgh Airport.  “The addition of WOW air’s service further bolsters Edinburgh Airport’s position as the leader for business and tourism connectivity between Scotland and international destinations.”

Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, fittingly embodies the best of what Scotland has to offer. From the sprawling countryside, to the magnificent stone castles that date back to the Middle Ages—Scotland is ripe for exploration. Within the city limits, you will see that Edinburgh combines historic appeal with a modern flare. Outside Edinburgh, you can view the wondrous Scottish Highlands and experience firsthand the awe-inspiring countryside.

“Scottish tourism punches above its weight on the world stage and this new service from WOW Air, offering flights from Reykjavik to Edinburgh and connecting from five key destinations in North America, will further strengthen our connectivity in this hugely important market,” said Malcom Roughead, chief executive at VisitScotland. “The U.S. is our biggest global market and a diaspora stronghold, so we are delighted to welcome the launch of this low-cost service, which will allow even more Americans to enjoy a holiday in Scotland.”
