June 28, 2016

Allegiant Air announced June 28, that it will begin service from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Montrose, Colo. later this year.

“The addition of Allegiant to Denver International Airport’s growing list of airlines will provide passengers with another ultra-low-cost carrier choice,” airport CEO Kim Day said. “Regional flights are critical links for communities like Montrose, so we are excited to see another option to get to Colorado’s great Western Slope cities.”

The new flight will operate seasonally, from Dec. 17 to March 25. Allegiant will offer the flight twice per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, using an Airbus A319 with 156 seats. The flights are currently scheduled to arrive at DEN at 11:34 a.m. and depart at 12:14 p.m.

“We’re very excited to bring Allegiant service to the Denver area,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant’s chief operating officer. “We’re sure that travelers will enjoy the new low-cost option to enjoy one of Colorado’s most popular ski destinations.”
