Texas Aviation Hall of Fame Accepting Nominations for 2017 Inductees

June 17, 2016

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 Texas Aviation Hall of Fame. Those selected will be announced in September and will be inducted during the Lone Star Flight Museum’s annual gala in May 2017.

The selection advisory committee, created by the Lone Star Flight Museum Board of Directors, is composed of 11 distinguished industry experts from across the country. Members include a former Johnson Space Center Director, a member of the Texas Historical Commission, authors of aviation-related books and editors of aviation magazines, a former aviation museum director and a current professor of History. The committee will research the candidates and make recommendations to the Lone Star Flight Museum Board of Directors, who will ultimately finalize the choices.

To be selected as an inductee into the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame (TAHOF), one must be either a Texan who has made extraordinary contributions to aviation, or a Texas aviator who has made an extraordinary contribution to the United States or the world in another field.
