Seeker Aircraft, Inc. is pleased to announce that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) have both issued Normal Category Type Certificates (TCs) to the Seeker SB7L-360 series aircraft.
Now that it is FAA Part 23 Normal Category Certified, Seeker Aircraft can sell the Seeker for commercial operations in addition to individuals for personal use.
The A and A2 model Seekers went through an extensive improvement process, including a complete NVG compatible cockpit redesign with a glass navigation system, parts and component standardization, and fuel system improvements.
“The issuance of Normal Category Type Certificates to the Seeker is a testament to the hard work of Seeker Aircraft, Seabird Aviation Australia, CASA and the FAA over the past year. FAA certification positions the Seeker for increased commercial sales throughout the world, by virtue of the various international bilateral agreements and general recognition and desirability of FAA certification,” said William Collins, President and CEO of Seeker Aircraft.
Seeker Aircraft expects a dramatic increase in North American sales due to the attainment of FAA Normal Category certification. Seekers are currently flying missions in Australia, the United States, the Middle East, and Africa.
The FAA validation flights consisted of evaluation of the cockpit and ergonomics, general flight characteristics, and stall characteristics.
