(Cary, N.C. – May 19, 2016) – LORD Corporation – a leader in the management of vibration, noise and motion control – has announced the award of the Engine Mount System on the Embraer Legacy 500 aircraft.

Building on nine decades of engineering excellence and experience providing engine mounts and other vibration isolation systems for OEMs around the world, LORD successfully completed certification of the Legacy 500 system in 2014. The mount system is designed to manage the thrust, G and FBO/Windmilling loads of the engine, while controlling the deflections and meeting the envelope size and weight requirements. With easy installation and optimization of part count, LORD mounts increase passenger and crew comfort with reduction of noise and vibration.

A product of rethinking convention, the Legacy 500 is the fastest jet in its class, delivering a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.82 and excellent runway performance. In practical terms, it can fly eight U.S. passengers coast to coast at Mach 0.80, even against 99 percent of annual winds, and still land with NBAA IFR fuel reserves.
