MARENGO, Ill. – May 2016 – UniCarriers Americas Corporation (UCA) expands its management team by hiring Rohit Soni as its director of compliance.
In this position, Soni is responsible for guiding UCA through the process of becoming and staying J-SOX compliant by assisting in the implementation and testing of the J-SOX framework and controls. Reporting through UCA’s risk management, Soni works cross-functionally throughout the organization to evaluate and develop UCA’s internal controls and to promote best practices in the company’s business processes.
Soni has more than a decade of experience in compliance and audit functions, including SOX implementations. Prior to joining UCA, he worked as a senior manager and a senior auditor for OptumRx. Soni was also an ERS consultant for Deloitte & Touche and a senior underwriter for the Ocwen Financial Corporation.

In 2014, Soni became a certified healthcare auditor through AIHC. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance, Inc. Soni earned a Master’s degree in business administration and accounting from Roosevelt University. He lives in Elgin, Ill., with his wife and two children.
