Jet Aviation St. Louis Signs Agreement for Honeywell JetWave Satellite Communications Terminals

May 3, 2016

Jet Aviation St. Louis has signed its first agreement to install Honeywell’s JetWave satellite communications terminals in a Global Express to upgrade the in-flight Internet experience.

“No one else makes this terminal. Honeywell is the only one,” said David Loso, Avionics Sales, Jet Aviation St. Louis. “The Jet Wave terminals provide much faster high-speed connectivity, and airplane owners are always seeking the bigger, better, faster Internet in the sky that Jet Wave delivers.”

Loso said the JetWave installation will be part of a major refurbishment on a Global Express.

Honeywell said the JetWave multi-channel terminals operate on Inmarsat Aviation’s GX Ka-band network, enabled by three satellites that cover the entire globe to provide true broadband connectivity. The terminals in the MCS-8000 model for business aircraft share the same antenna controller, modem, and router hardware with a tail-mounted antenna.
