Segmen Flight Academy Stands Up Flight Training Operations in Turkey with Five Cessna Skyhawk Aircraft

These five Skyhawks are being used for primary flight training, featuring the proven and dependable G1000 avionics system.

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany. (April 20, 2016) – Cessna Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, today announced that Turkey-based Segmen Flight Academy, a subsidiary of Güneydoğu Havacılık (GDH), recently began flight training operations after taking delivery of five new Cessna Skyhawk 172 aircraft in 2015. These five Skyhawks are being used for primary flight training, featuring the proven and dependable G1000 avionics system.

Founded in 2015, Segmen Flight Academy maintains its own airfield to provide flight training and theoretical pilot training in cooperation with regional universities.
