Logistics Supply Chain Coalition Applauds Passage of Small Airports Bill

April 19, 2016

Today, Logistics Supply Chain Coalition (LSCC) Executive Director James Voyles released the following statement in response to the United States House of Representatives unanimously passing H.R.4549, the Treating Small Airports with Fairness Act. The bill restores Transportation Security Administration (TSA) cargo screening services to airports that lost the service after January 1st, 2013.

"The LSCC applauds House lawmakers for passing legislation that gives more America’s access to the country’s robust air passenger and cargo network. This bipartisan bill allows rural and small town Americans to travel and ship goods with the confidence that comes with TSA’s security standards and screening procedures. It will further allow rural America to be competitive in the global economy and provide jobs in remote locations."
