Norman C.T. Liu (1982 MBA) Fellowship Fund Established at Harvard Business School

The fund will provide significant financial support to HBS MBA students with experience and career interest in the aviation, aerospace or defense industries.

BOSTON, MASS - February 12, 2016 - The Harvard Business School (HBS) Aerospace & Aviation Club announced the establishment of the Norman C.T. Liu (1982 MBA) Fellowship Fund at the “Moving the Future Conference @ HBS,” held today in Boston at HBS. The fund will provide significant financial support to HBS MBA students with experience and career interest in the aviation, aerospace or defense industries.

Norman C.T. Liu is currently Chairman of GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE. With nearly $50 billion in assets and a portfolio of over 2,100 fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, GECAS is the world’s leading commercial aviation financing company.

Liu is a 30-year GE veteran with over 20 years with GECAS. He served as GECAS President & CEO the last 7 years.  He graduated from Yale in 1979 and from Harvard Business School in 1982.

“I was privileged to have studied at Harvard and worked in global aviation for several decades,” Liu said.  “I hope this fellowship will enable others to pursue career paths in this critical industrial sector.”

The 2016 Moving the Future Conference is the first time such an event has been held at the Harvard Business School and will be an annual conference for years to come.
