AVON, CT, USA: January 22, 2016 – Global Jet Services, Inc., a leading innovator specializing in on-location aviation maintenance and professional development training, has better positioned itself to address the demands and interests of its loyal customer base with the addition of veteran aviation instructor, Jim Sparks. This added dimension of incredible avionics expertise will reward customer loyalty with new training opportunities on several of the more complex avionics systems and upgrades placed in a wide range of today’s aircraft types.

Jim brings to Global Jet Services nearly 40 total years of experience acquired from multiple locations across the entire globe (reaching every continent except Antarctica). Rapidly moving up the aviation maintenance ranks, Jim’s previous roles included technician, DOM, instructor, and now with GJS as a program manager. Mr. Sparks is quite familiar with numerous aircraft types, including the highly successful Gulfstream model G650, and with most Dassault Falcon aircraft -including the EASy-based platforms.

He generously desires to give back to the technical aviation community as: chairman emeritus of the NBAA Maintenance Committee; an active member of the FAAST; serves on the ASTM committee F46 to help define the Next Generation Aviation Technician. Jim is also a regular contributor to several major aviation trade publications with articles and tips on how to meet the challenges of today's industry climate from a technical and managerial perspective.
