Desert Jet Center, part of the Desert Jet family of companies and the newest Fixed Base Operation (FBO) at the Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport (KTRM) announces the appointment of Brad Elliott as General Manager. Elliott, who previously held the position of Customer Relations Manager for Banyan Air Service, brings nearly 15 years’ business and general aviation experience to Desert Jet Center. Denise Wilson, CAM, President and CEO of Desert Jet notes, “Brad’s FBO experience, industry knowledge and intuitive sense of customer service will serve the customers of Desert Jet Center well. We’re pleased to have Brad join us in advance of the opening of our FBO in early 2016.”
Elliott brings a wealth of knowledge to Desert Jet Center. Beginning in the line service department of legendary independent FBO Showalter Flying Service, he rose to Director of New Business only five years later; a position he held for no less than six years. After his tenure with Showalter Flying Service, he held various roles with AJ Publications, Air Journey and later Banyan Air Service. A longtime industry volunteer, Elliott has been a member of the National Business Aviation Association’s Schedulers and Dispatcher’s Committee for the past four years, and most recently served as the Chairman of the Vendor Sub-Committee. Says Elliott, “I’m excited to be part of the newest independent FBO in the country. Desert Jet’s reputation as a leading aircraft management company, MRO, and aircraft sales and brokerage company is well-known; their expansion into fixed base operations is a natural outgrowth. Slated to begin operations from temporary facilities as early as January 2016, groundbreaking on a lavish 10,000 square foot FBO terminal and modern 22,500 square foot hangar is planned coincident with opening.
