Wichita, KS—November 17 ,2015—GlobalParts.aero, which began operations in Augusta, Kansas as a distributor of aviation parts in 2003, is continuing to expand its capacity and capabilities with the opening of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-FAR Part 145 Repair Station at the August Municipal Airport (3AU). The facility is expected to begin offering limited maintenance and repair service within the next month. The company has also announced that it will offer anti-corrosion treatments utilizing Lear Chemical’s ACF-50 at the location.

“Regular ACF-50 treatments deliver a penetrating fog to all critical aircraft structure. We will offer complete airframe applications which can be timed to coincide with annual in-spections,” explained Scott Toom, GlobalParts Aero Services’ Director of Operations. ACF-50's advanced corrosion control properties protect both the airframe and avionics systems. The US Government, commercial airlines, fleet operators and general aviation users have, through years of testing and use, demonstrated that ACF-50 delivers tough anti-corrosion protection.

“This is one of many services we plan to provide at the Augusta Airport site. Both the facility and the airport possess great potential for expansion. We are continuing to pursue a strategy that will grow not only our position in our current markets but will allow us to move into new segments, as well.

The company expanded its organizational structure to form GlobalParts Group, Inc. in 2013, now includes GlobalParts Aero Manufacturing (GPAM) and GlobalParts Aero Services (GPAS). GPAS acquired 3 hangars and was granted an FAA Air Agency Certificate in 2014 to provide limited airframe and power plant maintenance services at the Augusta Municipal Airport. It has subsequently been granted dual certification as an EASA Part 145 Maintenance organization and is approved to maintain the products listed in the FAA Air Agency Certificate and associated Operations Specifications.

Global Parts Group also acquired the Type Certificate and assets of the Meyers Aircraft Company in 2013 and has been considering options regarding the potential for the production of components and/or limited manufacturing associated with the aircraft.
