Able Aerospace Services Names VP of Business Generation

Able has hired industry veteran John Celigoy as Vice President of Business Generation. In this role, Celigoy leads Able’s global sales, marketing and business operations functions.
MESA, Arizona (Nov. 16, 2015) – Able Aerospace Services, a global leader in rotor- and fixed-wing MRO and PMA solutions, has hired industry veteran John Celigoy as Vice President of Business Generation. In this role, Celigoy leads Able’s global sales, marketing and business operations functions – efforts that have helped the company maintain an average 20 percent annual growth rate for the past decade.
With more than 25 years of aviation operations and program management experience, Celigoy will direct initiatives to increase Able’s core product deployments, strengthen customer relationships, drive awareness of Able’s broad capabilities and grow the company’s global footprint to all regions of the world that can benefit from its three decades of fixed-wing and rotor-wing expertise.
From its headquarters and maintenance facilities on the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona, Able offers FAA approved component repair, overhaul and replacement parts (PMA) solutions to commercial and military aviation fleets in more than 60 countries worldwide. Over the course of 32 years, Able has grown to more than 500 employees providing thousands of approved repairs and some of the world’s largest exchange inventories.

Celigoy joins Able from Honeywell Aerospace, where he held positions including Strategic Marketing Director and Senior Customer Business Director. Prior to this he was a Director of Military Programs for MD Helicopters and held rotorcraft pilot positions for both helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) and law enforcement. As an active duty U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col., Celigoy held several staff positions at U.S. Marine Corps Headquarters and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He served as a commanding officer in Iraq, leading a high-performing helicopter squadron with nearly 300 personnel.
Celigoy holds multiple degrees and certifications, including master’s degrees in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington. He holds FAA licenses as an Airline Transport Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument Instructor for Rotorcraft/Helicopters.
Celigoy is a current commissioner for the City of Scottsdale’s Airport Advisory Commission and supports several local law enforcement organizations as a volunteer pilot.
