Irving, TX, November 12, 2015 - The University of Central Missouri’s (UCM) nationally acclaimed Department of Aviation has selected EPIC Aviation as its Jet-A and Avgas fuel supplier. UCM owns and operates the Max B. Swisher, Skyhaven Airport (KRCM) and the FBO operation, UCM Aviation, at Warrensburg, Missouri. After an extensive review of suppliers, UCM Aviation selected EPIC because of its outstanding reputation in the industry; especially in terms of safety record, cost-effectiveness and excellent customer service.

The UCM Department of Aviation offers accredited four-year degree’s in Professional Pilot, Aviation Management and a Master of Science in Aviation Safety. UCM operates a fleet of fixed and rotary-wing aircraft including the reliable Cessna 172 and the venerable twin engine Beechcraft Baron that gives students high performance, complex twin training that is more conducive to airline and corporate aircraft flying. The latest acquisition, a factory new Cessna 172S, sports the Department’s new colors and UCM red tail flash to commemorate the famous WWII Tuskegee Airmen – Red Tails.

Full service fuel dispensed by competent aviation students is competitive with regional self-serve and purchases directly support the mission of training the next generation of pilots. The EPIC partnership and planned capacity improvements will further the goal of making UCM Aviation the top general aviation FBO in the region.

“UCM Aviation is a unique aviation program with impressive facilities and a long-term vision for the airport. It is an exciting addition to our branded network of locations. We’re proud to be aligned with this first-class program and look forward to helping them develop future aviators,” said Steve McCullough, EPIC senior vice president of general aviation.
