NTBAA’s Safety Show-Down Gains NBAA CAM Certification

The NTBAA safety event theme for 2015 will be “Professionalism….the core of your safety culture” and include break-out sessions presented by well-known industry experts; it will be held Sept. 23.

September 2, 2015 -- Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas --The North Texas Business Aviation Association (NTBAA), announced that its 3rd annual Safety Show-Down event on September 23rd has been certified by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) to be a Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) accredited program, allowing attendees to receive CAM credit for participating in the event.

The NTBAA safety event theme for 2015 will be “Professionalism….the core of your safety culture” and include break-out sessions presented by well-known industry experts such as the Honorable Earl F. Weener, PhD with the NTSB, Dr. Shari Frisinger with Cornerstone Strategies, Peter V. Agur with VanAllen Group, Kent Jackson with Jackson & Wade, LLC, Randall Brooks with APS Upset Recovery Training, JD McHenry with Global Jet Services, as well as a presentation from AirCare FACTS. In addition, the keynote speaker for the Safety Show-Down will be Dr. Mark Maier, the Founding Chair and Director, Leadership Studies Program, College of Educational Studies Chapman University. Dr. Mark Maier is internationally renowned as the writer and producer of the video-based training module, A Major Malfunction: The Story Behind the Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster, which is in use at over 800 institutions in 23 countries and will be the focus of the keynote presentation, titled, Leading with Integrity – Creating a Climate for Open Communication.

Attendees participating in the informative presentations will also have an opportunity to learn more about various aviation products and services from Show-Down exhibitors, experience an emergency procedures simulator, and see numerous aircraft on static display at Addison Airport, conveniently located across the street from the conference center. The program will begin with a continental breakfast and check-in at 7:00 AM and conclude at 5:00 PM.
