ZIONSVILLE, IN (August 10, 2015) - Montgomery Aviation is excited to announce that current Director of Marketing and Business Development, Sean White, will be taking over responsibilities as General Manager of all three Montgomery Aviation locations in Zionsville, Frankfort, and Peru.  Sean will succeed current GM, Bobby Beem, in that role.  After 14 years with the company, Bobby will be leaving Montgomery Aviation in mid-August to pursue a career as a full-time corporate pilot for a local company.

“We are excited and confident that Sean will provide strong leadership here at Montgomery Aviation for many years to come,” said Montgomery Aviation President Dan Montgomery.

Sean will begin transitioning into the role over the next few months as he wraps up current work with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), helping to lead their Regional Fly-In initiative, presence at larger airshows, and previously the AOPA Summit.  Plans have been made to ensure that Sean will continue in this new role once Eagle Creek Aviation Services completes its purchase of Montgomery Aviation, slated to be finalized in early October.

“I am excited to take on this new challenge as General Manager,” said White, “We have a talented and energetic team of employees and a wonderful group of customers.  I look forward to serving them and working with them to continue to set the standard for customer service in the industry.”

Sean brings a unique background and set of experiences to Montgomery Aviation.  As an instrument rated private pilot, he is passionate about aviation and specifically the future of business aviation and general aviation.  Sean knows the local aviation community and customers well, having worked with Montgomery Aviation part-time for the last five years, leading marketing, communications, and business development initiatives.

Outside of his work at a national level with AOPA, Sean has worked with several airports, FBOs, and aviation advocacy organizations locally on marketing and communications initiatives.  Sean was also an active leader on the 2012 Super Bowl Aviation Services Committee, helping to organize and prepare general aviation airports throughout the region in advance of the large influx of traffic for the Super Bowl.

Earlier in his career, Sean worked in Washington, D.C. for the George W. Bush Administration at the White House, U.S. Small Business Administration, and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as Special Assistant to the Secretary. He is a graduate of The George Washington University with a degree in Business, Economics and Public Policy.
