ACSF Announces New Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Members to Board of Governors

Washington, DC, June 2, 2015 — The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) is pleased to announce the selection of Greg Kinsella, Base President-Washington, DC, of Jet Linx as Chairman, and Joe Salata, Vice President-Flight Operations, of Flight Options as Vice-Chairman. 

Mr. Kinsella had served as ACSF Vice-Chairman since 2014. Before joining Jet Linx, Kinsella was president and CEO of Key Air. He is a 20-year industry veteran.

Mr. Salata has more than 32 years’ aviation leadership experience and is a retired officer from the United States Air Force after a 20-year career as a fighter pilot.

The following have been elected to the ACSF Board of Governors: Tom Huff, Aviation Safety Officer of Gulfstream; Bob Rufli, Director-Flight Operations of Landmark Aircraft Management and Charter; Alan Ray, Chief Safety Officer of OneSky LLC; and Al Pod, President of A3P Technologies.

Tom Huff was named to the newly created position of Aviation Safety Officer in 2012, reporting to the Gulfstream president as an independent safety advocate. He oversees the company’s comprehensive safety management system and associated safety programs for all flight operations, including experimental test, production test, demonstration and corporate flights.

Bob Rufli has more than 34 years’ management experience in aviation. Mr. Rufli was named
Director of Flight Operations at Landmark Aviation in 2011.  He is currently leading the process of merging five part 135 certificates under an FAA-approved merger plan.

Alan Ray is an accomplished aviation leader and professional with more than 19 years’ experience.  Mr. Ray brings excellent leadership, problem solving, multi-tasking and analytical aptitude skills to the Foundation.

In addition to President of A3P Technologies, Al Pod is Chairman and CEO of The Rushmore Wall Group, Worldwide Aviation Consultants.  Previously, Mr. Pod was President and CEO of Executive Jet Management, and Vice President of Operations at NetJets.

“Joe, Tom, Bob, Al and Alan’s collective knowledge, experience and leadership in the aviation industry will be a tremendous benefit to the foundation’s ongoing and future safety initiatives,” said ACSF President Bryan Burns. 

“The vision of the ACSF is to enable on-demand charter providers and fractional program managers to achieve the highest levels of safety in the aviation industry. This goal will be achieved through:

  • Promotion of risk management programs,
  • The adoption of one common industry audit standard,
  • Dissemination of safety information and,
  • Creation of additional programs that advance the goals of the foundation.”
