Grand Rapids, MI – The Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GFIA) is helping its passengers work more efficiently with an upgrade to its Wi-Fi network.

The Wi-Fi upgrade comes after GFIA officials were seeking an accelerated, more reachable network to provide better access for both business travelers looking to get work done, as well as leisure travelers who are browsing the internet prior to boarding their flights.  The Wi-Fi is provided to passengers at no charge, compliments of the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.

“We continue to listen to passengers’ wants and needs, and an upgrade to our Wi-Fi system will give everyone at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport faster internet service and more accessibility,” said GFIA Executive Director Brian Ryks.

“Many of our travelers like to get work done while they wait for their flight, and this upgraded system will help passengers make the most of their time while they are in our airport.”

GFIA’s enhanced internet access is provided by Iserv, one of Michigan’s leading Managed Technology Solutions providers based in Grand Rapids.

"Iserv is very excited about partnering with The Gerald R. Ford International Airport to provide complimentary wireless service to visitors of the airport,” said Iserv President Jeff Royce.

“Technology continues to play a larger role to both the business and recreational traveler and having access to reliable wireless service is needed to support their various devices. The Gerald R. Ford International Airport is a world-class airport offering world-class wireless service and Iserv is proud to be a partner in this offering."
