Duncan Aviation Celebrates 20 Years of Falcon Authorization

LINCOLN, NEB — Duncan Aviation’s Lincoln, Nebraska, location celebrates 20 years as a Dassault Authorized Service Center (ASC) for all Falcon model aircraft. Although the company has been supporting the Falcon operator since the late 1970s, it wasn’t until 1995 that Dassault officially recognized Duncan Aviation as an Authorized Service Center.

In those early years, a dedicated 10-man Falcon airframe team, in a 21,312 sq.-ft. maintenance hangar, worked on at least one or two Falcons every month. As the Dassault aircraft evolved into larger cabin/longer range models and customers purchased and advanced into them, Duncan Aviation advanced with them. “That,” according to Ron Grose, Duncan Aviation Falcon Technical Rep, “is how we got into the Falcon business.”

Now in 2015, the Lincoln, Nebraska, location has four dedicated Falcon airframe teams working around the clock in a new state-of-the-art 40,000-sq.-ft. hangar facility dedicated to Dassault aircraft. During any calendar month, five or more Falcon aircraft are in various stages of a major C – inspection, structural repairs, avionics modifications, interior refurbishment and new paint.

For most of the 20 years that Duncan Aviation has been an ASC, Grose has been a member of several Falcon maintenance advisory committees. He contributes to these open forum meetings where customers, service facilities and Dassault representatives work together to develop and improve the maintenance programs for the Falcon aircraft.

Duncan Aviation’s Battle Creek, Michigan, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility is another Dassault ASC with years of Falcon experience.
