ACRP Guidebook for Airport Terminal Restroom Planning and Design Published

May 12, 2015
This guidebook addresses the expectations of the traveling public as well as the operational needs of airport managers and staff.

Minneapolis, MN – May 12, 2015 – Alliiance is thrilled to announce the publication of the Guidebook for Airport Terminal Restroom Planning and Design (ACRP Report 130). Providing excellent customer service is the driving force in recent airport design and improvements. Restrooms, however, are often one of the last spaces to be addressed. Yet the restrooms are often our first and last impression of a destination. This guidebook addresses the expectations of the traveling public as well as the operational needs of airport managers and staff.

A process is recommended to help airport practitioners plan, design, and implement terminal restroom projects. The information is valuable for airports of all sizes for evaluating often conflicting requirements and prioritizing decisions for both new construction and remodeling. The following link provides free access to the guidebook as well as links to appendices with case studies, focus group and survey results, sample forms, etc.
