Fort Lauderdale, FL, May 8, 2015 – With a growing number of commercial aircraft operating in North America from the highly successful E-Jets family, Embraer will promote its current and second-generation E-Jets family, the E-Jets E2, at the upcoming Regional Airline Association Convention in Cleveland, OH, on May 11-14, 2015. The Company will be located at Booth 715 in the Cleveland Convention Center and will hold a press briefing on Tuesday, May 12 at 11:15 a.m. (Room 22).

“The dual class 76-seat E175 is playing an important role in the modernization of the regional fleet,” says Charlie Hillis, Vice President, Sales & Marketing – Commercial Aviation, North America. “Embraer has served the industry since the 1980s and has evolved to meet the changing needs of our customers. Bringing durable, reliable and economic airplanes to our segment is what we do best. Embraer is currently the leader in terms of orders in this market. Our aircraft are flown in all the major airline networks in the United States and Canada, and in several important business routes, not only regional, and we look forward to the RAA as it is the preeminent venue for interacting with many of those customers.”

The E175s currently being delivered to American, Republic, SkyWest and United feature a new wingtip that, among other technical enhancements, improves aerodynamic performance. Fuel consumption on a typical flight is 6.4% lower than the original E175, resulting in best in class fuel burn and the lowest operating cost aircraft in the category. Since 2013, Embraer has captured over 80% of the new 76 seat market in North America, being recognized for best in class cabin comfort in its segment.

Embraer is the only manufacturer to develop a modern family of four airplanes specifically targeted to the 70- to 130-seat segment. Today, E-Jets are flying with mainline, low-cost and regional carriers, as well as with charter airlines.
