Hydratight a leading brand in the design, development and manufacture of specialist tools for the aerospace engineering market is once again working with the U.S Navy.

Hydratight’s Antigo (WI) facility is currently running ahead of schedule with the delivery of its custom-built engine stands for the US Navy, with 35 of the 71 units ordered shipped by the end of March 2015.

Hydratight, under the brand name Sweeney has a long standing relationship with the US Navy, and this particular order was placed based on Hydratight’s reputation for delivering quality ground support equipment.  The original bespoke engine stand solution was created by Hydratight for the US Navy in the 1970’s and 80’s. This new order, received in September 2014, was to support the UH-1Y and AH-1Z helicopter programs to replace its aging fleets.  The entire Hydratight project will be delivered by the end of July 2015.

Darin Jerde, Aerospace Business Leader from Hydratight commented: “When it comes to specialized tools for aircraft maintenance, we have a proven track record, and over the years we have designed and manufactured quality solutions to meet the U.S Navy’s needs.”

John Bennett, H-1 Weapons System Manager, US Navy said “All responses from the Marines are positive. They are thrilled to finally get this piece of Support Equipment, thank you and your company for an outstanding job!”

Hydratight, has led in the design, development and manufacture of highly specialized tools, and handling equipment for aircraft and turbine engine maintenance. The company’s relationship with the U.S Navy can be traced back Hydratight’s Sweeney origins in 1949.
