NDI, the trade body representing companies involved in the defence sector, has today announced four new senior appointments to its Advisory Board, including a former MOD Commercial Director.
Les Mosco, CEO of Commercial Strategies Ltd and a former MOD Commercial Director; Vincent Middleton, Managing Director of Newburgh Engineering; Craig Priday, Managing Director of Pearson Engineering; and Owen McFarlane, Managing Director of CAV Ice Protection will all join NDI’s Advisory Board with effect from 1 May 2105. Collectively they have over 100 years’ experience in defence and aerospace.
The move demonstrates the strength of NDI’s commitment to providing specialist supply chain development and business support to companies operating in the defence, aerospace, space and security sectors.
The NDI Advisory Board comprises senior figures from the public and private sectors who, along with NDI’s two Patrons, Lord Bach of Lutterworth and Sir Peter Luff, both former defence procurement Ministers, provide expert guidance and advice to the NDI Executive team on how best to help member companies grow.
The announcement is the latest positive development at NDI whose ownership was taken over by EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, at the end of 2014.
Mike Maiden, Chairman of the NDI Advisory Board, says “This move is about strengthening the support available to companies operating in the UK’s highly competitive and strategically vital defence industry”.
“Les, Vince, Craig and Owen are all well-connected, seasoned and astute operators with a wealth of experience gained , collectively, over an impressive 100 years of doing business in the defence, aerospace, space and security sectors. Their invaluable knowledge and advice will be a tremendous asset to our members, particularly those looking to unlock and drive ambitious business growth plans”.
