Singapore / April 14, 2015 – Jet Aviation Singapore recently received full Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval for its new Interior Shop. The company has also doubled the size of its team of interior craftsmen to meet increased demand for cabin interior refurbishment services.

The FAA approval allows Jet Aviation Singapore to certify refurbished interior components or entire cabin interiors of aircraft rated by the facility. This is major step in an effort to further expand the company’s refurbishment capabilities.
Jet Aviation Singapore is currently working on a Bombardier Challenger 605 and a Gulfstream GIV to complete a full cabinetry and veneer refurbishment and a cabin interior upgrade, respectively. In 2014, Jet Aviation Singapore performed a range of retrofit, modification and upgrade services on various aircraft, including full interior refurbishment of a GIV and retrofitting interior components on two 747 VIP aircraft.

“We’re developing a reputation as a one-stop-shop with our combined maintenance inspection and refurbishment offering, including upholstery and avionics or cabin management system upgrades,” says John Riggir, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Singapore. “Owners of business jets take great pride in the pristine condition of their aircraft, particularly in this region, and this extends to cabin interiors. We have experienced increased demand from the maturing fleet of long-range, large cabin aircraft that are based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. We also expect to receive certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) later this year which will further support our customers.”

Stefan Benz, Vice President of MRO and FBO Services in EMEA and Asia says, “Customers clearly value our combined maintenance and refurbishment service offerings, which is where most of the refurbishment growth has been noted in Singapore. We are delighted to expand our refurbishment capabilities with this FAA approval to meet our clients’ requirements.”

Jet Aviation Singapore’s Interior Shop is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment for upholstery, wood and veneer finishing and carpeting. Coupled with a new 60 square meter eco-friendly spray-painting and buffing shop, the new production environment is designed to support the highest quality and service standards for interior aircraft refurbishment. The company also collaborates with Hawker Pacific to offer a full repaint and interior package on aircraft up to the size of the Gulfstream 650 and the Bombardier Global series.

Jet Aviation Singapore provides scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft repair, defect troubleshooting and rectifications and aircraft modifications. In addition, the company offers interior refurbishment, avionics modification and exterior painting services.
