ATLANTA, April 10, 2014 – Delta TechOps, Delta Air Lines’ maintenance division and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) provider business, announced today the appointment of Sonny Stern as Vice President Sales, MRO Services at Delta TechOps. He will join the organization on April 15, 2015.
“Sonny’s proven track record in the aviation industry covers OEM engineering, aftermarket aircraft and engine MRO support and being a technical officer for one of the world’s largest aircraft leasing company, makes him the ideal leader for the Delta TechOps MRO sales organization,” said Jack Arehart, President, MRO Services at Delta TechOps. “We look forward to Sonny joining the TechOps MRO Services team leading continued growth of the maintenance, repair and overhaul business.”
Stern started his 25 plus year aviation career at McDonnell Douglas as a systems and structures engineer, working in engineering development and production phases of aircraft manufacturing. After leaving Boeing, following the merger with McDonnell Douglas, he entered the MRO sector, holding management roles with increasing responsibilities at TIMCO, MTU Maintenance, and most recent ILFC and AerCap as an executive. Stern will report to Arehart.
