Bill Brotherton Named President and General Manager of Lockheed Martin Commercial Engine Solutions

Brotherton will be responsible for leading military and commercial engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for 10 engine lines and new engine production assembly and test operations.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, April 8, 2015 -- Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE: LMT) announced the selection of Bill Brotherton as president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Commercial Engine Solutions that includes its San Antonio, Texas and Montreal, Canada facilities. Brotherton will be responsible for leading military and commercial engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for 10 engine lines and new engine production assembly and test operations. 

“After having virtually all of its business come from the military sector, this company has spent the past couple of years preparing for additional commercial business by creating unique offerings that are attracting the attention of both commercial and military customers,” said Brotherton. “I am excited to be taking over a company so well positioned for growth, and I am ready to use my past experiences with commercial customers to further distinguish Lockheed Martin Commercial Engine Solutions in the market.”

Brotherton has been with Lockheed Martin since 1990, when he joined Lockheed Missiles and Space. Most recently, he served as director of business operations for the C-5 program at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in Marietta, Georgia, where he was responsible for all business management aspects of the C-5 program including contracts, estimating, pricing, cost management and financial controls.

Earlier in his Lockheed Martin career, Brotherton served as director of business operations for the C-130 program with responsibility for new aircraft production and sustainment efforts on the C-130J Super Hercules and legacy C-130 aircraft. Brotherton received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama. 

With two locations in Montreal, Canada and San Antonio, Texas, Lockheed Martin Commercial Engine Solutions (LMCES) is a center of excellence for commercial and military aircraft engine MRO and test, providing services for 10 different engines that power the B737, B747, B767, A300, A320, DC-10, F-15, F-16, C-130 and regional jets such as the Bombardier CRJ. LMCES also provides MRO and new build capabilities for the F110, the powerplant for F-15 and F-16 fighter jets.
