Tempest Promotes Jessica Cox For Sun-n-Fun 2015

April 3, 2015

GIBSONVILLE, NC - Tempest Plus Marketing Group (TPMG) is pleased to announce that it will lend its support in 2015 to Jessica Cox, motivational speaker, author, and Guinness World Record Holder as the first armless person in aviation history to earn a pilot certificate.

Jessica Cox, born without arms, learned to fly in a 1946 415C Ercoupe and gained her sport pilot certificate in 2008 with the help of Able Flight. Jessica recently published her first book, Disarm Your Limits, which relates her story of living her life fully without choosing to use prosthetics, and to use her feet as others use their hands. It outlines her "formula for flight": unrepentant regard and self-acceptance as a whole person. Jessica has been speaking for 10 years in 20 countries.

"I am thrilled to be a part of my first Sun nʼ Fun!" said Jessica. "Aviation has empowered me, and I look forward to an inspirational and high-flying weekend."

"Tempest is honored to provide support to Jessica," said John Herman, President of Tempest. "Her lifeʼs story provides an extremely inspirational testimony of meeting lifeʼs challenges head-on and not letting obstacles prevent you from fulfilling your lifeʼs dreams. Our support is but a small contribution to ensure as many people as possible hear Jessicaʼs story of human will and the desire to persevere."

Jessica plans several appearances at the 2015 Sun-n-Fun Fly-In in Lakeland, Florida. She will sign her new book on Wednesday, April 22, from 11 am to noon, at the Tempest booth, located in the Sarasota Avionics Hangar C, booths C-081 and C-082. Jessica will present a motivational talk at the Florida Air Museum at Sun-n-Fun on Tuesday, April 21, at 11 am, followed by an appearance at Able Flightʼs event at noon, and then speaking again at the Aviation Pavilion at 6 pm. Jessica will speak again at the museum on Friday, April 24, at 1 pm. Follow Jessica on Facebook, Twitter, and on the website.
