HAECO Group Awarded Air Canada 777 Dream Cabin Modification Programme

Named the “777 Dream Cabin” programme, it will include complete design engineering, certification and installation of all new aircraft interiors on 18 of the airline’s Boeing 777-200 and -300 aircraft.

Hong Kong, 31 March 2015) – HAECO Cabin Solutions, a unit of the HAECO Group, announced today that it has been awarded a comprehensive fleet modification programme by Air Canada. Named the “777 Dream Cabin” programme, it will include complete design engineering, certification and installation of all new aircraft interiors on 18 of the airline’s Boeing 777-200 and -300 aircraft.

The work will include some HAECO Cabin Solutions products, such as partition walls and new lavatory units. Additionally, it will cover the installation of new aircraft seating and in-flight entertainment (IFE) in all cabins, new flooring and laminates and the modification of galley units. The design and integration work has already begun and the first aircraft will be inducted for installation in September 2015.

To meet Air Canada’s tight delivery schedule, services will be provided by multiple business units within the HAECO Group from locations around the world.

Some work on the design, certification and integration work will be performed in Greensboro in the U.S., supported by engineers from HAECO Xiamen and HAECO Hong Kong; products will be built and overhauled at our HAECO Cabin Solutions facilities in North Carolina and we will be installing the new cabins in hangars in Greensboro as well as in Hong Kong.” He added, “Our teams have been excited to take on the challenges of delivering this comprehensive programme for Air Canada, and are eager to play a role in the introduction of such an exciting new product for Air Canada and its passengers.”
