San Diego, CA, March 23, 2015— Pilots can gain valuable insight on crosswind landings for free by taking the new online video course, Crosswind Landings Made Easy, from King Schools. “Crosswind landings are a subject that is difficult to explain without video,” says Martha King, who is featured in the video.

The video shows John King demonstrating the techniques for crosswind landings from the cockpit, while Martha explains the aerodynamics using a dramatic view of the airplane from behind. “Countless pilots have told us they never understood crosswind landings until they watched this video,” commented John.

Many pilots struggle to stay aligned with the runway centerline with zero sideways drift when facing a stiff crosswind, and poorly executed crosswind landings are a leading cause of airplane insurance claims, the Kings noted.

“This course,” added Martha, “is focused on providing valuable information and tips that will help pilots nail their crosswind landings, every time. We hope to make a positive impact on those statistics by making this course freely available.”

“Together with our other free online mini-course, Non-Towered Airport Communications, we are building a library of important video courses that anyone can take online for free,” concluded John. “We hope pilots enjoy these courses with our compliments.”

Crosswind Landings Made Easy runs in any Internet browser on PCs, Macs or mobile devices. It also works with the King Companion App on iPad and iPhone for downloading and viewing videos while offline.
