GIBSONVILLE, NC - Tempest Plus Marketing Group (TPMG) is pleased to commit once again to its partnership with world-renowned aerobatic pilot Kirby Chambliss. “Kirby is not only a championship aerobatic and Red Bull Air Race pilot, but he has been a good friend of Tempest for many years,” says John Herman, President of Tempest, “and we are proud to have him represent Tempest. His dedication to excellence and determination to always be the absolute best, runs parallel to our philosophy regarding our customers and our products. We wish Kirby and Team Chambliss great success this year in the Red Bull Air Race Championship series.” Kirby Chambliss says, "I am so fortunate to be associated with Tempest, an exceptional company, with exceptional people, who have been behind us for many years!"

Kirby Chambliss is one of the most consistently successful pilots in the history of the Red Bull Air Races. With two RBAR World Championships and eight race victories under his belt, he seeks his third World Championship this year. Kirby commented, "I am looking for my third World Championship, which hasn't been done yet!" Kirby has spent so much time flying his Zivko Edge 540s he now jokes that the airplane’s controls and wings are a mere extension of his own arms. To date, Kirby is a five-time U.S. National Aerobatic Champion and has accumulated 13 medals in world aerobatic competition. Considered by many to be the best all-around aerobatic pilot in the world, Kirby was invited to compete in the first Red Bull Air Race events in the early 2000s. Along with the intense Red Bull Air Race schedule, Kirby will be performing at airshows and exhibitions throughout the United States and Mexico this year. Fourteen pilots, including two- time World Champion and Red Bull NA-sponsored Kirby Chambliss, will be competing for the World Championship. The 2015 Red Bull Air Races kicked off in Abu Dhabi on February 14th.
