ORLANDO, FL. – Orlando International Airport (MCO) became the 39th airport across the nation to open a Clean
Energy Compressed Natural Gas station. The new station operates 24/7 and is open to the general public. Located at
6155 Cargo Road, the new state of the art compressed natural gas station features four fueling pumps and easy
access for vehicles of all sizes.
“This new station is a perfect example of our commitment to the environment and to helping further diversify the local
economy of Central Florida,” says Frank Kruppenbacher, Chairman of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “Not
only is natural gas friendlier to the environment, this station will also help save drivers and businesses money
because natural gas is a cheaper alternative to conventional fuels.”
Natural gas fuel costs up to $1.00 less per gallon than gasoline or diesel, depending on local market conditions. The
use of natural gas fuel not only reduces operating costs for vehicles, but also reduces greenhouse gas emissions up
to 30% in light-duty vehicles and 23% in medium to heavy-duty vehicles. In addition, nearly all natural gas consumed
in North America is produced domestically.
