March 11, 2015

ST. LOUIS / March 10, 2015 – Jet Aviation St. Louis is installing iPads in Global Express flight decks after receiving a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the upgrade.

Blake Hogge, senior manager, Avionics Sales at Jet Aviation St. Louis, said four installations, including iPads for the pilot and co-pilot seats, have just been completed and more are scheduled.

“The installations are Class 2 EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) iPads that put more information at the pilot’s and copilot’s fingertips, including JPS charts,  GPS positioning, and weather graphics,” Hogge said. “We integrate them into the flight deck controls for easy access by the flight crew. We can install them on all Global Express models under the new STC.”

Hogge said the iPad installations are among the latest flight deck and cabin upgrades that demonstrate the technological capabilities at Jet Aviation St. Louis.
