London, February 20th 2015: AJW Aviation has stepped up its acquisition programme to purchase a B757(PW) aircraft from Aerolease.  Previously operated by Russian operator VIM Airlines (MSN 24749) is currently being parted out by Haitec at Frankfurt-Hahn airport.

AJW Aviation is focused on securing B757(PW) inventory to support recent contract wins with a large air freight operator and other existing customers.  Deepak Sharma, Chief Technical Officer – AJW Group, explains the Company’s assertive stance as it takes delivery of four aircraft in under two months:

“We have a responsibility to underpin our contractual obligation with component stock and it is vital for AJW Aviation to optimise our mature fleet materials for the Boeing 757.  In addition, we identified this strategic purchase to buttress recent contract wins in Asia.

“Importantly, it also boosts AJW’s stockholding of major assemblies such as landing gear and nacelles for the PW2040 engine Boeing 757 variant that the Company has not stocked before.”
