The component contract covers services for the four Thomas Cook subfleets, Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium, Thomas Cook Airlines United Kingdom, Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia and Condor in Germany.

The TCS® comprises component repair and overhaul services as well as material pooling, transportation services and home base support in Brussels, Manchester, London Gatwick, Copenhagen and Berlin-Schoenefeld. "The consolidation of all Airbus component services requirements into one contract manifests a further crucial step in our Group Airlines transformation process. We have found with Lufthansa Technik a very capable business partner supporting us on this journey," said Jaakko Schildt, Head of Thomas Cook Group Maintenance Organization.

"Since 1998 we are already performing A320 TCS services for Condor.

We are delighted that this support now has been expanded to the whole group and also to the A330 fleet", said Wolfgang Weynell, Senior Vice President Corporate Sales & Marketing at Lufthansa. "Especially we are proud to welcome Thomas Cook Airlines UK as a new partner making them our first TCS® customer in the mainland of the United Kingdom."

Lufthansa Technik is already providing for the airlines and the Group Airlines Maintenance Organisation (GMO) of the Thomas Cook Group various services in the fields of engines, wheels & brakes and airframe related components. The new contract will help Thomas Cook Group Airlines to create synergies by a more integrated approach within its maintenance, repair and overhaul activities.

Currently, Thomas Cook Group Airlines operate a mixed fleet of 90 aircraft, comprising Boeing 757 and 767, several types of the Airbus A320 family and Airbus A330.
