Washington, DC, February 17, 2015—The Regional Airline Association announces the promotion of Stacey Bechdolt to Vice President-Safety & Operations and Regulatory Counsel.  Joining RAA in 2012, Bechdolt draws on more than 15 years of experience in aviation operations, safety and regulations for her role as an advocate for the regional airline industry. Her work at RAA focuses on operational safety management and the impact of regulations on flight and technical operations. An active member of several government-industry collaborative groups, including a number of Aviation Rulemaking Committees, she represents member airlines to industry groups and administrative agencies.  Bechdolt was recently appointed to the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI) Board of Trustees.

“This promotion reflects Stacey’s tremendous hard work and significant commitment to this industry,” stated Faye Malarkey Black, RAA’s Interim President. “Stacey is relied on by RAA’s executive team and our member airlines, alike, as a ‘go to’ problem solver and forward thinker. Among her many accomplishments has been successfully driving RAA’s Safety Council into a true industry force. Her work continues to help us elevate respect for and recognition of our member airlines’ tremendous safety culture.”

Sunderman has also served in a variety of safety and operations positions at ExpressJet and Atlantic Southeast Airlines. She holds an aviation safety degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

“Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge on aviation data analysis, offering a new and important skillset to the RAA executive team.” said Ms. Black. “Additionally, Jennifer’s background in airline operations and safety reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to the highest level of aviation safety.”
