Todd Hauptli: "For a quarter of a century, I have learned from her, been inspired by her and watched her accomplish seemingly impossible tasks. We are better as an industry because of her leadership."

Alexandria, VA - AAAE President and CEO Todd Hauptli issued the following statement on the announcement today that Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Executive Director Gina Marie Lindsey, C.M. will retire this spring:

"Gina Marie Lindsey is a giant in our industry. She is indefatigable. When others have thrown in the towel, she is just warming up. She possesses the extraordinarily potent (and rare) combination of an iron will and a servant's heart. For a quarter of a century, I have learned from her, been inspired by her and watched her accomplish seemingly impossible tasks. We are better as an industry because of her leadership, and my life has been richer for our friendship. I wish her and her husband Tom a long and happy time together in the next part of their journey."
