(TSX: HRX), ("Héroux- Devtek" or the "Corporation"), a leading Canadian manufacturer of aerospace products, today stated it is assessing the ramifications of today's announcement by Bombardier Inc. (TSX: BBD.B) to pause its Learjet 85 business aircraft program due to "the continued weakness of the Light aircraft category since the economic downturn". Héroux-Devtek is the developer and supplier of the complete landing gear system for the aircraft.
"In the context of Bombardier's decision, Héroux-Devtek will carefully assess the situation and its potential impact on our operations. We remain confident to reach our objective of achieving annual sales of $500 million by fiscal 2019," stated Gilles Labbé, President and Chief Executive Officer.
