Tronair Buys WASP's Commercial Towbar And Tailstand Product Line

The commercial towbar and tailstand product line supports all major commercial aircraft fleet types from single aisle aircraft through a range of widebody aircraft including Airbus A330 and Boeing 767, 777 and 787.

Tronair Inc. and WASP Inc. today announced the sale of WASP’s commercial towbar and tailstand product line to Tronair Inc.

Harley Kaplan, President and CEO of Tronair affirmed, “The addition of the WASP commercial towbar product line further strengthens Tronair’s growing position in the commercial GSE market and will be a tremendous value add to our customers.”

“It’s a win-win situation,” said Dane Anderson, WASP President and CEO.  “Tronair can diversify its offerings with additional, specialized GSE for its customers around the world while we at WASP can fully concentrate on the large format GSE products that our customers rely on us for in their daily operations.”

The commercial towbar and tailstand product line supports all major commercial aircraft fleet types from single aisle aircraft, such as Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 family, through a range of widebody aircraft including Airbus A330 and Boeing 767, 777 and 787.

Tronair is a leader in the manufacture of GSE for the global aviation market, with over 1,000 SKU’s for products such as Towbars, Jacks, GPU’s, HPU’s and RAT Ground Test Tools. The company is based in Holland, Ohio and has been in operation for 42 years.

WASP is a major manufacturer of commercial aviation GSE and conveyor equipment.  The company is based in Glenwood, Minnesota and has been in operation for 35 years.
