Advanced Composites Training President to Offer Training in Thailand

Dec. 8, 2014
Working with the Thailand Department of Civil Aviation, Wilson Boynton will be teaching advanced composite aircraft structures, maintenance and repair technologies.

ACT, the renowned training division of Renaissance Aeronautics Associates Inc., is a local company making a big splash on the international stage. From musical instruments to canoes and yachts, Formula 1 racing to wind turbines, composites are used in all industries. They are helping clients stay ahead of the leading edge by training personnel to the highest level, and have been recently contracted by two more large entities:

Wilson Boynton has been selected to be the main trainer at a brand new facility in Thailand, 2015. Working with the Thailand Department of Civil Aviation, Boynton will be teaching advanced composite aircraft structures, maintenance and repair technologies.

Having trained personnel from the Thailand Department of Civil Aviation in their London facilities, Boynton (President and founder of RAA) will now be spending extended periods training technicians onsite in Thailand, bringing ACT’s exclusive certification program to the client.

In Nebraska, ACT will be training groups of structures technicians at Duncan Aviation Inc. in an intensive and hands-on course. As a Canadian company with American approval, ACT is unique, as there are not many U.S. based companies that do what they do; audited training programs that are in a field of their own.

Boynton spent two weeks at Duncan Aviation's facility, in Battle Creek, Mich., training their employees on their Canadian Council for Aviation and Aerospace accredited and Federal Aviation Administration approved Composites Materials Fabrication and Damage Repair module. The course was received with such positive feedback that the head office in Lincoln, Neb., wants to bring the training to their significantly larger facility. www.advancedcompositestraining.ca

These are prime examples of ACT's international presence and reputation. Projects such as these bring attention and dollars to the local, London economy.

ACT trains around the world, is involved with 24 countries and 75 per cent of their training is done outside of Canada, in:

  • United States
  • Thailand
  • Singapore
  • United Arab Emirates
  • Bermuda
  • Ireland and across Europe
