Senior Appointments Strengthen Exova Technical Capabilities

Exova, the global testing, calibration and advisory services provider, has appointed Dr Prabir Chaudhury as global technical director designate for metal technology and Chris Harwood as technical director of aerospace, Americas.

Prabir joins Exova as part of the longer term succession planning for Corwyn Berger, who has over 42 years’ service with the company and who will continue to lead the global development of metal technology solutions for Exova customers.

With more than 25 years’ experience in materials and process engineering in the aerospace and defence sectors, Prabir joins Exova from Orbital Sciences Corporation where he held the position of senior principal engineer. A widely published technical author and trainer, Prabir has worked with global companies such as Boeing, NASA, General Electric and Honeywell. His new role will see him work with customers to drive future strategy in metal technologies and transfer best practice across the business.

Chris joins Exova from Ellwood Texas Forge, where he was technical director. He has over 25 years’ experience in the aerospace and forging industry, working with companies including Wyman Gordon, Frisa and Rolls-Royce. He will take on a newly created role that will see him lead the advancement of technical capabilities and solutions for customers in the Americas aerospace market.
