Lufthansa Technik AG: Supervisory Board Appoints Antonio Schulthess as Chief Executive Human Resources

Antonio Schulthess (49) is the new Chief Executive Human Resources

On 25 November, the Supervisory Board of Lufthansa Technik AG appointed Antonio Schulthess (49) as new Chief Executive Human Resources. On 15 March, 2015, Schulthess will take over the position from Dr. Johannes Bussmann, who is replacing August Wilhelm Henningsen as Chairman of the Executive Board. On this date, Henningsen is retiring.

Antonio Schulthess is a Swiss citizen and has been Head of the Human Resources Division of Lufthansa AG in Frankfurt since July 2014.

After completing his studies at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, the military pilot, software engineer and management economist served in various positions in the fields of IT and human resources as well as working as a self-employed management consultant.

In 2003, Schulthess joined the Personnel Development department at SWISS. Between 2005 and 2011, he was Head of Human Resources and Head of External Affairs and Information Technology. In June 2011, he moved to Lufthansa AG in Frankfurt, where he was responsible for Human Resources in Lufthansa Passage, later adding responsibility for the same function for the Lufthansa Group as a whole.
