Today, Lufthansa Technik AG and its long-time customer and partner Georgian Airways have celebrated their 15-year partnership in a common ceremony in the Georgian capital Tbilisi.

The cooperation started in 1999, when the airline - at that time still called "Airzena" - became the official Georgian airline and put Western aircraft into service.

Currently, Georgian Airways operates three Boeing 737 and four Bombardier CRJ 100/200 aircraft. Lufthansa Technik delivers technical services under a Total Component Support TCS® contract and gives further support on request, for example, for engines.

Additionally, Lufthansa Technik takes care of the airline's line-maintenance staff by courses and recurrent trainings. Lufthansa Technik also provides periodical inspections for the aircraft operated by Georgian Airways.

On the occasion of the common ceremony Iase Zautashvili, General Director of Georgian Airways, said: "Since 1999 our relationship has been continuously strengthened and Georgian Airways highly appreciates not only the technical, but the moral support Lufthansa Technik provides, indeed. In a customer and service-supplier relationship it is also common to find the priorities. We have always been very successful in doing so. I would like to underline the professionalism and excellent technical maintenance Lufthansa Technik performs, giving us assurance in quality and flight safety."

"Our cooperation with Georgian Airways is characterized by mutual trust. We are delighted that we have been able to support the development of the airline over such a long period of time", said Eckart Gwildis, Sales Executive at Lufthansa Technik. "We would like to thank our partner Georgian Airways for the excellent cooperation over the past 15 years, in which we have also succeeded in overcoming difficult times. We are looking forward to many more years of fruitful cooperation."
