At the 16th annual Ground Handling International fair in Gothenburg, Sweden, Iberia has renewed its contract with Lufthansa, whose passengers and aircraft it serves at the airports of Bilbao, in Spain’s Basque Country, and Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands. Lufthansa operates a total of some 2,100 flights each year to the two airports.

Iberia Airport Services will shortly submit its bids for handling contracts at the 19 busiest Spanish airports. In March it bid for contracts at the 22 airports with fewer than one million passengers.

With 80 years of experience to back it up, the handling unit also boasts versatility, the capacity to handle all types of aircraft, including freighters, and to perform a full range of services, including cruise ship link ups and special services for executive jets.
