DALLAS -- Dallas Airmotive announced today that the company has transformed its former Regional Turbine Center (RTC), located on Dallas-Love Field airport, into a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the repair and overhaul of PT6A engines.

“As a company, we have been going through a transformation and we are developing ways to serve our customers better and faster,” said Doug Meador, President, Dallas Airmotive. “Our new facility at Dallas-Love Field is a perfect example of that. Everything has been completely overhauled and redesigned. The facility, employees, and the operations are exclusively focused on delivering the best PT6A repair and overhaul service in the world.”

Dallas Airmotive was the first independent MRO provider to receive authorization on the PT6 in 1964. This year it is celebrating 50 years supporting the PT6 engine and Meador explained that this puts Dallas Airmotive in a unique position in the industry.

“We have unmatched experience providing the highest quality repair and overhaul on the PT6,” he stated. “Across our organization, our employees are passionate about taking care of our customer’s engines. In this new facility, we have taken that drive, that passion, that expertise and focused it, creating a facility and team dedicated to the PT6.”

During the redesign, Meador explained that processes and workflow were optimized to deliver fast turnaround times on repairs and overhauls. “One of the top priorities of our customers is quick turnaround times. In our new PT6 facility, we have centralized our PT6 expertise and streamlined our processes to offer the highest quality, market competitive support with the best turn times in the industry,” he declared.

To showcase this capability and expertise, Dallas Airmotive will rebuild a PT6A engine at NBAA in Orlando, Florida. Over the course of three days, Dallas Airmotive engine technicians will rebuild an engine on BBA Aviation booth #228 at the Orlando Convention Center. Product specialists will be on hand to address questions about the process.

“This is the first time something like this has been undertaken,” said Meador. “Our team is excited to showcase the passion and energy they have for this engine and our customers. It will definitely be a unique event for the show and I know I am looking forward to seeing it.”

Convention goers are invited to stop by and watch the intricacies involved, and ask questions. Stop by BBA Aviation booth #228 to watch the build.
