Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide to Host Free Webinar on Future of Commercial Aviation

“NextGen – The Future of Commercial Aviation” will kick off the fall webinar series Tuesday, Oct. 14, at noon (EST).

Daytona Beach, Fla., Oct. 7, 2014 – The future of commercial aviation will be discussed during the first of several free webinars being offered by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide this fall.                             

“NextGen – The Future of Commercial Aviation” will kick off the fall webinar series Tuesday, Oct. 14, at noon (EST). Wade Lester, senior project manager of Embry-Riddle’s NextGen program, will talk about the work being done to increase aviation safety, reduce environmental impact, reduce flight times, save money and keep the world’s aviation industry secure. 

Other sessions planned for 2014 include:

  • “Three Knows of Great Writing,” Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1 p.m. (EST), presented by Terri Maue, associate professor and chair of Embry-Riddle Worldwide’s Department of English and Humanities
  • “Understanding the Global Business Environment: A First-Hand Opportunity to Visit China,” Tuesday, Nov. 18, noon (EST), presented by Edward Knab, assistant professor and chair of Embry-Riddle Worldwide’s Department of Leadership

Each 50-minute webinar includes a presentation and Q&A session. Additionally, webinars will be archived and can be viewed after the live presentation. Webinars in 2015 will cover topics including aviation psychology and unmanned aerial systems.

This complimentary webinar series gives prospective students and the public an opportunity to experience Embry-Riddle Worldwide instruction while also learning about current trends and topics.
