October 2, 2014 — Seattle, Wash. — Raisbeck Engineering is unveiling a newly certified EPIC Performance Package for the in-service King Air C90GTx fleet of nearly 150 airplanes. The measurably improved performance comes from Raisbeck's Swept Blade Turbofan Propellers, combined with Dual Aft Body Strakes, and takes advantage of the low-speed contribution of the factory installed winglets on that specific model.
Flight testing on the C90GTx was conducted during the Spring and Summer of this year, and included high-altitude performance tests covering takeoffs, climbs, accelerate-go, and landings at the aircraft's Increased Gross Weight.
The new EPIC Performance Package is dubbed the C90GTRx EPIC, and will be available for purchase and installation at all Raisbeck independent and Hawker-Beechcraft Service Centers worldwide.
A formal announcement, including performance data, will be made at this year's NBAA in Orlando, Florida. Major performance improvements are concentrated on takeoff, climb, approach, and landing, where the Swept Blade Props make their greatest contribution.
