Educational, curriculum based program is entering its ninth year

WINDSOR LOCKS, CONN., October 2, 2014, – The 2014-2015 SOAR for Science program at the New England Air Museum is underway!  This inspiring, educational, curriculum based program is entering its ninth year thanks to the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations. SOAR for Science brings area students to the Museum where they are introduced to the world of aviation in a way which interconnects the subjects of math, science and history. Teachers and administrators appreciate the hands on approach, used by the program, to aid students’ comprehension of difficult scientific concepts being taught in their classroom.  Additionally students become aware of the rich technological history of the Connecticut Valley, the men and women who were responsible for the development of aviation as we know it today and the vast array of careers related to the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields.

The New England Air Museum gratefully acknowledges the following corporations and foundations that have made contributions to the Museum’s SOAR for Science program during the first nine months of 2014.
