A letter to the company's customers, suppliers and partners explains more details on the deal announced yesterday.

In an email addressed to customers, suppliers and partners, Dan Clevenger, global director of sales and marketing, provided more details on the transaction to OPW.

"While this is a strategic sale of certain Australian business units by the McAleese Group, this sale does not include Liquip Aviation | Beta Fluid Systems, which continues to operate business as usual out of our North Carolina, USA facilities," Clevenger writes.

FULL TEXT OF LETTER

To customers, suppliers, and partners of Liquip Aviation | Beta Fluid Systems:

This week, Australia’s McAleese Group has announced a binding share sale agreement with an affiliate of OPW, a
business unit of Dover Corporation, a publicly traded US company (NYSE: DOV), for the sale of Liquip International Pty Limited (Australia) for $65 million.

The acquisition is limited to three Australian Liquip businesses:

  • Terminal Equipment, Sydney, Australia: Equipment for the petroleum, LPG, and mining industries.
  • Spare Parts and Maintenance, Sunshine, Australia: Serving aviation customers in Australia / New Zealand.
  • Fuelling Solutions, Port Melbourne, Australia: Filtration systems and vessels in Australia / New Zealand.

The sale to OPW does not include Liquip’s Aviation Division, which is still owned by the McAleese Group.

Liquip Aviation continues to operate as Beta Fluid Systems. The Liquip Aviation | Beta Fluid Systems business will continue to operate out of the North Carolina, USA operation where the Liquip Aviation headquarters have resided since 2012.

Primary contacts remain unchanged:

Beta’s 42-year heritage of turning customer’s fuel into profits while focusing on reliability, customer support, and on time delivery has resulted in global leadership in aviation refueling equipment. These roots of our heritage and focus on quality and service are ultimately what make our customers successful, which is our foremost priority.

To avoid confusion with the new OPW/Liquip brand, Beta Fluid Systems will strategically begin phasing away from the Liquip brand, with a full brand transition to be completed by 2015. We will keep all customers, suppliers, and business partners updated as any changes are made.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards,
Dan Clevenger
